"There are two different ways we could thank these judges for their time.
In the first way every single judge gets the exact same thank you, like everyone getting one scoop of ice cream, no matter what. It doesn't matter if the judge is new or has done it a hundred times, or if they judge only the preliminary rounds or the important championship knockout rounds. Everyone gets the same one scoop.
The second way is like getting a bigger reward for a bigger job. With this idea, a judge who has a lot of experience and is really good at their job might get two scoops of icecream, instead of one. And a judge who is chosen to judge the very last, most difficult rounds of the tournament might get a sprinkles or chocolate syrup on top of their ice cream."
