Maitland Jones was a widely respected organic chemistry professor at NYU. He was fired from his job after 82/350 of his students signed a petition against him complaining about his class. The students stated that the classes were too difficult, and that they received little help and sympathy during the pandemic in the form of extra credit which would ruin the chances of students especially planning to pursue med school.
