Of recent, there has been growing mental health commentary on social media where various people 

create content on streaming platforms talking about different personality traits, often associating them 

to personality disorders e.g., ADHD, autism, narcissistic behavior etc. and birth orders.

The Data-Mining Business Model operates by providing "free" digital services in exchange for

the harvesting of a user’s behavioral data. Through the constant tracking of both active clicks

and passive engagement, companies utilize algorithms to build a "Digital Twin" that predicts a 

user's subconscious desires and future actions. This profile is then

sold to advertisers and AI labs, transforming private human experience into a commercial 

commodity.

AI has the power of prediction which is visioned through learning and recognizing patterns of 

behavior through the huge amounts of data that it trained, industry standard models have a 

predictive accuracy percentage between 70 to 90. In 2027, the Ugandan government proposes 

the use of AI to monitor online radicalization. The proposal also suggests

that youth flagged for "early-stage radicalization" by AI should be automatically enrolled in 

secret, state-funded de-radicalization programs rather than being prosecuted under the Anti-

Terrorism Act when they do actually become

Social media platforms (primarily TikTok and X) have transitioned from entertainment hubs to the primary source of economic mobility for Ugandan youth. "Algorithm Fame" provides a direct pathway to financial independence through brand endorsements (from telecoms and beverage companies), commissions on "Social Commerce" sales, and appearance fees at high-profile events.

However, the "Algorithm" prioritizes high-engagement content, leading to a "Race to the Bottom" where creators utilize controversy, vulgarity, livestreamed personal attacks, and "vawulence" to achieve overnight popularity, there is also a constant introspection of how "Algorithm Famous" youth spend their daily lives, e.g have they performed well in National Exams, are they responsible children and more. In response, Digital Vigilantism has emerged as an informal interventionist tool where organized digital mobs use "cancel culture," mass reporting, and public shaming to de-platform creators perceived as toxic or immoral.
